Josh Hazlewood will not be able to play in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy because he has an injury and won’t be able to recover in time.
Australia’s coach, Andrew McDonald, said that Josh Hazlewood is going to go home to recover from Achilles tendonitis. Hazlewood injured his Achilles tendon during the third Test against South Africa in Sydney back in January. He’s been trying to work through the injury at training, but he’s not been able to get rid of it completely. So he’s decided to go home to continue his recovery.
Hazlewood was replaced by Scott Boland in the first Test against India. Boland is a new player who made his Test debut in 2014. He played his first Test match against India at the Brisbane Cricket Ground. Boland claimed five wickets in the first innings itself.
Pat Cummins is leaving for Sydney to visit family.

The visiting team has better news because Mitchell Starc and all-rounder Cameron Green are both out of injury. Both of them are likely to be back for the third Test starting on March 1 in Indore.
