Indian Cricket team scripted history as they won their first-ever medal in Asian Games history. India won the gold medal in men’s T20I cricket at the Asian Games 2023 by defeating Afghanistan in the gold medal match. However, the match was called off due to rain and we didn’t have a full match.
Indian Cricket team captain Ruturaj Gaikwad decided to bowl first in this final after winning the toss. The conditions were helpful for the bowlers because of the overcast conditions and that’s why the Indian captain chose to bowl first in this match. Indian bowlers didn’t disappoint him as well.

All of them were sharing their joy through this video where they made their nation proud, winning a gold medal in a multi-sport tournament is a big thing for any of the players.

Indian Cricket team started their campaign against Nepal in the quarterfinal as they were qualified directly for the knockouts because of the better ICC rankings. India defeated Nepal in the quarterfinals while beating Bangladesh in the semi-final they qualified for the final of this tournament. The final was washed out due to rain but India won the match due to higher seedings.
