Twitter Reaction: MI vs LSG match alleged to be FIXED after three horrible Run-outs

Mumbai Indians have defeated Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2023 Eliminators at the MA Chidambaram stadium to qualify for the Qualifier 2 of the tournament. This is the second time that Lucknow Super Giants have failed to qualify for the final of IPL despite making it to the playoffs each year. This is a really good record for them considering it’s been only 2 years of their inception.

Talking about the match itself, Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bat first. They did pretty well in the first innings putting up a decent total of 182 runs. Cameron Green stepped up for them, scoring 41 runs in 23 deliveries. Suryakumar Yadav, who scored 33 runs in 20 deliveries, also helped MI with his cameo.

Coming in to chase, Lucknow Super Giants failed to get a proper footing on the innings from the very beginning. They lost opener Prerak Mankad for just 3 runs and their top order and middle order was in absolute shambles. Marcus Stoinis was the only player who was starting to hold the innings together and after scoring 40 runs, he too departed, thanks to a horrible runout after a comedy of errors.

In the end, LSG were all out for just 101 runs and Mumbai Indians registered a massive victory of 81 runs. With this victory, they are now through to the Qualifier 2. They now need to win against Gujarat Titans in that match to face CSK in the final.

However, fans were not that happy in the aftermath of MI’s victory as the ‘fixing’ allegations gave returned. MI made three runouts in the second innings and all of them were caused by big bloopers by the LSG players. This lead many fans to question whether the match was fixed by Mumbai Indians.
